Mother of the Bride Dresses

You will be in the front row and in nearly every photo. Our mother of the bride dresses help you feel confident from the first hello to the last dance. Choose sleeved pencil shapes, lace detail, velvet or off-shoulder necklines. Each style is designed and made in England. They work just as well for the mother of the groom.

Finding a dress that feels like you

There is no set uniform for the mother of the bride. The best dress suits your shape, the wedding colors and how you like to dress. Start by asking the couple about their color scheme.

Next, think about comfort. You will be on your feet for hours. Stretch fabrics and a good lining make a real difference by the evening.

Popular styles in this collection

Lace is a lovely choice for a wedding. The Midnight Lace, Longleat Lace and Francesca Lace Fluted dresses all add texture without fuss. The Haversham Contrast Lace Pencil Dress frames the neckline beautifully.

Prefer clean lines? The Chesterton 3/4 Sleeve A-Line skims the hips. The Fenella Boned Pencil Skirt Dress gives a sculpted shape, thanks to our corsetry roots. For an evening do, the Madelyn Velvet Pencil Dress or the Classique Off Shoulder Maxi feel special.

Choosing your length

Knee length is polished and easy for daytime ceremonies. Browse our short mother of the bride dresses for that look. Longer lengths feel more formal for evening or black-tie weddings. See our long mother of the bride dresses for midi and maxi styles.

  • Pair a fitted dress with a jacket or shawl for a church service.
  • Add a hat or fascinator in a tone that picks up your dress.
  • Choose a comfortable mid heel for a long day.

Made in England, cut with care

Diva Catwalk began in 1985 in fashion and lingerie corsetry. That pattern-cutting know-how still shapes every dress. Seams are placed to support and smooth, not just to look pretty.

All our production is designed and made in England. That lets us keep a close eye on fit and finish, which matters on a day like this.

Mother of the bride FAQs

What fabrics do you use?

Many styles here use Ripple Crepe, Bi-Stretch or Moss Crepe. All three have stretch for comfort. Lace styles add a softer, romantic texture.

How do I choose my size?

Sizes run from S (UK 10, US 6) to XXL (UK 18, US 14). Measure yourself and compare with our size guide. If you are between sizes, the larger one is often more comfortable for a long day.

Can I try dresses on before the wedding?

Our London showroom at 146 New Cavendish Street is open by appointment. Please contact us to book a visit.

Should the mother of the bride avoid any colors?

Avoid white and ivory. It is also kind to check the bridesmaid color so you do not clash or match by accident.

Do you have dresses for wedding guests too?

Yes. Our wedding guest dresses include brighter colors and prints.

Do you ship to the US?

Yes. Every piece is made in England and shipped to the US. Rates show at checkout. Import duties may apply, see shipping & returns.
